Saying Goodbyes are Hard!

As all of you know i am obsessed with meeting famous people. Well, on a little trip to the airport to drop off our friend Jessica, we saw a mob of people waiting outside a terminal. They all had guitars and posters with them. So, i obviously recognized that someone famous was about to come through those doors. And at that moment, they did. IT WAS FIREHOUSE!
Okay confession, i had NO idea who they were but later found out that they were on tour with Poison here in Monterrey! I did recognize the name Poison so we were good! So, i had to get a picture with one of the guys. He was glad i was speaking English to him! And thats all for my claim to fame!

As i said previously, we were at the airport dropping off our friend Jessica! This summer i have had to say goodbye to 2 of my dearest friends here in Monterrey! Jessica Biondo (far right in picture above) and Ruby Moyer(far left in picture above). Jessica had been my roomate for 2 years before i got married! She was the SMCA teacher here for grades 3-6. Living with her was SO MUCH FUN. I had known her before she moved here because we nannied my last summer together. We had gotten close then, but since we had lived together for 2 years we got even closer. Jessica's heart here was to serve and do ANYTHING for her fellow staff members and families. There is so much JOY exploding through this girl it can't help but rub off on you! She felt the Lord calling her to North Carolina for a teaching position. God opened all the doors for her and it was evident that He wanted her there! Seeing the Lord unfold the next chapter of her life was incredible. It is amazing watching the Lord do His wonderful work!

Ruby had lived here the entire 3 years i have been here in Monterrey! Over the last 3 years we have gotten closer and i have learned and gained so much wisdom from Ruby! She was also a SMCA teacher but for grades k-3. She is a passionate person about what she does. She has a heart for missionary kids and for our ministry here. She was apart of it all. When someone is a part of it all and God calls them somewhere else, there is a gap to fill. Ruby had lived here for 4 full years and served wherever needed. She LOVES getting volleyball games together and so i am a little nervous who will start games now.

These girls have brought so much to my life in the past 3 years of working alongside me. I am thankful for their friendships and they will be forever cherished! I love you girls! Praying for God to continue showing off for your lives like He has done so evidently here!
